The use of gamification mechanisms can increase motivation and enjoyment in many areas of work by systematically embedding playful elements in work processes. Our goals are to develop concepts for how such gamification approaches can be used for our employees and to implement and evaluate such concepts. The thesis can focus on individual areas. We welcome you to contribute your own research questions.

 

YOUR TASKS:

  • You will research scientific studies and best practice examples on the application of gamification approaches in companies
  • You will develop and evaluate concepts for the use of such approaches at SICK AG
  • You will develop recommendations for action
  • You have the opportunity to expand your research question empirically or technically according to your specialist background
     

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You are studying psychology, cognitive science, digital humanities, computer science or a comparable degree programme
  • You have some experience in motivational psychology, gamification or game design
  • You are interested in human-centred issues and developments and in developing innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Your strong teamwork and communication skills round off your profile
