Mission of the Role
This role would work in our Bloomington, MN office with a flexible schedule of 4 days in office.
This role will focus primarily on income tax compliance and tax accounting, while also supporting a variety of general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate income tax as well as accounting/financial reporting according to US GAAP and IFRS.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the filing of regular tax returns, with focus on income tax.
- Manage the calendar of reporting events for tax filings, and all census related submissions.
- Coordinate and manage tax audits, inquiries, and notices from tax authorities.
- Maintain documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions, and other tax-related activities.
- Develop and maintain tax plans, compliance procedures and risk assessment frameworks, to ensure effective tax management.
- Collaborate with the headquarter in Germany as well as other departments and teams, such as finance, legal and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination on tax matters.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the organization.
- Foster a culture of tax compliance and awareness throughout the organization, providing training and support as needed.
- Collaborate with global finance and accounting teams to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented accurately per national tax compliances.
- Maintain and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts.
- Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements. Provide ad hoc financial reports or related support as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7+ years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
- Certifications: CPA preferred but not required.
- Position-specific Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Experience working with corporate senior management possessing a respected competence in all things financial.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skill to identify priorities and meet deadlines, and computer skills in identifying flow of transactions.
- Excellent analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer/Technological: Professional competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), SAP experience preferred.
- Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required.
- Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, full time; be on-call on some weekends (if required).
- General Working Conditions: Be able to usually work in an office environment; flexible (hybrid) work arrangements available.
- Travel: The position does not require travel.
- Physical Demands: General office environment space and exposure. Computer monitor more than 4 hours a day.

Compensation
The base salary is one part of our Total Rewards package and is determined within a range. The starting base salary range for this position is listed below; the actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs and other job-related factors, as permitted by law.
- Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $74,550 - $102,500
- Bonus Eligibility: This role is NOT eligible for an annual bonus.
