Job Description
Marketing Internship

Mission of the Role

This is for the 2026 summer season, located at our Minneapolis, MN office.

An intern at SICK is involved in the day-to-day activities within the business through immersion into different projects. The intern will have the opportunity to work within a team to gain knowledge and first-hand experience of what a career in this industry would be like.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the writing and development of nurturing email campaigns, including writing content, competitive research, and best practices for target marketing.
  • Assist in paid media advertising support, including Google Ads creation, landing page optimization, and analytics reporting.
  • Assist in development of marketing and buying personas to improve campaign targeting and customer journey.
  • Provide event and trade show planning assistance. 
  • Actively seek out information to learn how SICK operates as a business (products, departments, etc.).
  • Interface with other departments and interns to gain knowledge of the business, products, positions and more.
  • Provide innovative recommendations on how SICK can improve.
  • Complete a final presentation at the close of the internship that outlines the involved project(s) and knowledge gained.
  • Provide feedback on the internship experience at the close of the internship.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

Key Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled in an accredited University/College program, preferably within Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related areas of study.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

Other Qualifications:

  • Able to self-start and learn on the fly.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Experience with event planning a plus.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States (*This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future).
  • Able to work in a general office environment.

Compensation

The base salary is one part of our Total Rewards package and is determined within a range.  The starting base salary range for this position is listed below; the actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs and other job-related factors, as permitted by law.

  • Starting Base Annual Salary Range:  $24 - $34 per hour
  • Bonus Eligibility: This role is NOT eligible for an annual bonus.
