Job Description
Apprenticeship 2026: Industrial mechanic*

3.5-year apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic* (f/m/d) starting on 01.09.2026 at our Waldkirch site in cooperation with the Commercial and Home Economics and Social Care School Emmendingen (block teaching).

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Diverse insights and collaboration in various departments such as CNC manufacturing, test equipment construction, production, quality control and logistics maintenance 
  • Development of basic mechanical knowledge 
  • Machining (turning, milling, drilling) of materials made of a wide variety of metals and plastics
  • Production of components using 3D printing technologies 
  • Creation of programs for CNC controlled machines 
  • Operation of computer-controlled milling and turning machines 
  • Construction of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic circuits 
  • Assembly of components and assemblies 
  • Sample production of complex, precise components 
  • Creation and application of technical drawings 
  • Handling and creation of 3D models using CAD software
  • Independent quality controls as well as maintenance and repair of complex systems


WHAT YOU NEED: 

  • Secondary school leaving certificate, vocational school, high school diploma or comparable training
  • Basic technical understanding 
  • Enjoyment of manual and technical activities 
  • Good spatial awareness 
  • Good knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer science 
  • Analytical and accurate way of working 
  • Developer spirit and inventiveness 
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • German language skills (language level B2 recommended)
