Job Description
Thesis: Evaluation of data architecture, tools and use cases for combined data/graph analysis*

Winter Semester 2025/26 - Limited to 3-6 Months


Our Challenge: In a rapidly changing world and with fast-evolving market conditions, staying on top and making the right decisions can be difficult. This thesis focuses on the evaluation of data architecture and graph analysis tools, as well as deriving recommendations. The goal is to conduct a prototypical evaluation of data architecture and tools for data and graph analysis, to identify and assess them in order to make informed decisions and seize Supply Network opportunities. Additionally, a prototypical analysis using both classic data analysis methods and graph methods will be performed to assess the applicability of the results.


YOUR TASKS:

  • Conduct literature research on modern data architecture and semantic graph analyses.
  • Analyze different approaches to data architecture and data analysis in the context of Supply Network.
  • Develop a data architecture and data analysis for a specific SICK Supply Network use case.
  • Be responsible for the detailed documentation of the work results.

  • You are studying Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Management, or a comparable field.
  • You have an interest in innovation, strategy, agility, and data.
  • You bring experience and enthusiasm for production, purchasing, and logistics.
  • (Very) good English skills.
