We describe and model production areas and their characteristics in the form of a generic digital data model. Based on this model, a complete material flow simulation can be generated at the push of a button, using the simulation tool AnyLogic. The focus so far has been on accurately representing the logical processes. The goal of this thesis is to extend this simulation with a photorealistic 3D visualization by integrating NVIDIA Omniverse with AnyLogic and extending the data model accordingly.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Familiarize yourself with NVIDIA Omniverse and AnyLogic.
  • Understand the existing data model and its structure.
  • Extend the data model to include visualization aspects.
  • Evaluate the Omniverse interface already available for AnyLogic.
  • Implement an example extension of the existing data model with a photorealistic 3D representation.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You are studying Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You are interested in simulation tools and 3D visualization.
  • Initial experience with AnyLogic and/or NVIDIA Omniverse is a plus.
  • You are creative and work independently.

YOUR APPLICATION:

  • We are looking forward to your online application
  • Sarah Disch
