Summer Semester 2027 – fixed term of 3–6 months
YOUR TASKS:
- Develop and test methods for generating synthetic image and 3D data for AI and perception systems.
- Create and modify virtual scenes and use simulation environments to generate data automatically.
- Investigate how factors such as surface properties, material characteristics and physical effects influence the realism of synthetic data.
- Implement Python-based tools for generating, processing and evaluating datasets.
- Compare synthetic data with real-world data, assess the differences and identify potential improvements.
- Document your methods and results and discuss your findings with the team.'
The specific tasks and scope of the project will be tailored to your existing knowledge and the requirements of your mandatory internship or thesis.
