YOUR TASKS:

  • Develop optical and system solutions for innovative gas sensor analyzers, and verify them through simulations and measurements.
  • Work within interdisciplinary and cross-site development teams.
  • Derive and implement requirements for optical systems.
  • Participate in the construction of prototypes, verify their properties at various development stages—from lab samples to prototypes—and document the development results.
  • Adapt and optimize existing optical systems within our product portfolio.
  • Oversee the life-cycle management from an R&D perspective, and support the interface with production and quality management on optical and mechanical matters.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external suppliers.


YOUR PROFILE:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience, ideally with knowledge in the development of analyzers or sensors.
  • Experience with optical simulation tools (e.g., ZEMAX or SPEOS).
  • Programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, C++, PYTHON).
  • Knowledge in chemometrics and optical spectroscopy.
  • Excellent command of both English and German.
  • A systematic, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality.
  • Strong team and communication skills, combined with a passion for innovation and creativity, complete your profile.
