Summer Semester 2027 - limited to 5-6 months
YOUR TASKS:
- Analyze the theoretical principles of an approach to reduce compressed air consumption in pneumatic cylinders using standard pneumatic components and an intelligent control algorithm.
- Plan, design, and build a test setup to investigate the approach under defined operating conditions.
- Develop an algorithm that optimizes compressed air consumption during cylinder movement.
- Conduct experimental tests, analyze the results, and optimize the algorithm based on your findings.
- Evaluate and document the test results, deriving conclusions regarding the approach’s effectiveness and potential for further improvement.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Enrolled in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, electrical engineering, or a comparable field of study
- Solid understanding of pneumatics, control engineering, and automation technology
- Interest in algorithm development and practical implementation in test environments
- Enjoyment of hands-on work, including test setup, experimental testing, and measurement data analysis
- Independent and systematic working style, with strong analytical skills
- Initial experience with programming, measurement technology, or experimental testing is an advantage
