Mandatory internship/thesis: 3D mapping and localization for mobile robots*
Fixed-term for 3–6 months
YOUR TASKS:
- Conduct literature research on 3D mapping and localization for mobile autonomous robots
- Select relevant methods for investigation based on a well-founded rationale
- Implement selected methods for the provided hardware, adapt them, or further develop them
- Design and conduct experiments to compare different approaches
- Evaluate the selected methods
- Document your results in detail
YOUR PROFILE:
- Enrolled in a degree program in Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in C++
- Ideally, knowledge in laser measurement technology, mathematical optimization, or cartography
- (Very) good English skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Independent and structured working style
