Job Description
Mandatory Internship / Thesis in Purchasing: Fleet Management

Winter semester 2026/27 – fixed term of 4–6 months

 

As part of this mandatory internship, you will support our Fleet Management team in developing and implementing new processes for our company fleet, which comprises several hundred vehicles. You will work closely with Purchasing, internal interfaces, and external service providers, contributing actively to improving fleet operations, claims management, and the use of our internal vehicle pool.

 

YOUR TASKS:

  • Analyze existing Fleet Management processes, particularly in claims management, vehicle procurement, and the use and administration of the internal vehicle pool
  • Develop and document new processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and cost structures
  • Support the introduction of new workflows in collaboration with internal departments and external partners
  • Conduct data-driven optimizations based on fleet data (e.g., damage rates, usage frequency, mileage, cost analyses)
  • Support the operational day-to-day business of Fleet Management
  • Contribute to cross-departmental projects aimed at modernizing and developing the company fleet (e.g., digitalization, process standards, sustainable vehicle strategies)

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Mobility Management, or a comparable field
  • Interest in process optimization, procurement, mobility concepts, and fleet management
  • Analytical and structured working style paired with high initiative
  • Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment in working with various stakeholders
